A heart attack is when the blood cannot get to your heart. This hurts the heart muscle. It is very serious. You must get help fast.

Signs of a Heart Attack:

  • Pain or pressure in your chest
  • Pain in arm, neck, jaw, or back
  • Feeling sick or sweaty
  • Trouble breathing
  • Feeling dizzy or weak

Call 999 right away if you or someone else has these signs.

Why It Happens:

A blood clot blocks the blood to the heart

The heart’s blood pipes (arteries) can get narrow from fatty build-up

What To Do

  1. Call 999 now
  2. Sit down and keep calm
  3. If you can, chew 1 aspirin (unless a doctor has told you not to)
